Cereals & Europe Spring Meeting 2013
On behalf of the Organising and Scientific Committees, we sincerely thank all cereal scientists and technologists from both academia and industry for attending the C&E Spring Meeting 2013 in Leuven and for making it a very succesful meeting!
The C&E Spring Meeting 2013 was entitled “Unlocking the full potential of cereals: Challenges for science based innovation”. It provided a science platform to present the latest cereal research and to discuss different aspects of cereals related to new technologies in cultivar development, food processing, properties of ingredients and constituents, nutritional aspects, end product analytics as well as structure-function relationships. By doing so, the C&E Spring Meeting 2013 offered a broad spectrum of cereal topics and brought together multidisciplinary perspectives.
You can find some pictures here. Also, a meeting report will appear in the July-August issue of Cereal Foods World!
Presenters are highly encouraged to submit a research paper, review article or note based on their oral or poster presentation at the C&E Spring Meeting 2013 for publication in a Focus Issue of Cereal Chemistry. Submitted manuscripts will go through the regular peer review process and publication of the Focus Issue will be at the beginning of 2014. Find more information on http://www.aaccnet.org/publications/pages/cefocusissue.aspx. Do not forget to select the Cereals and Europe Special Issue option under "Manuscript Type" when submitting!
